Oh, to be free...
I suppose I'll be the first to write.
What an adventure it has been up here in West Yellowstone these first two weeks. I have three jobs. I live in a hotel. I met the happiest drunk you'l ever meet, saw a buffalo flop down for a power nap in the middle of town, and I've jumped on my hotel bed more than once. I've learned a lot about myself and how I interact with those around me. I've deepened the relationships with my loved ones, and in fact have added to the list of loved ones.
I've learned some things about God and how He allows us to learn, how he trusts us to make good decisions without being told. He waits, patient as an oak, for us to move forward in the directions we know to be right. And even when we're wrong, He stands ready to lift.
I even found a new favorite song (for the time being at least!) called Saro by Sam Amidon. Check it out sometime.
All in all, life is amazing & beautiful. There shall be many great and far more specific stories to follow. This is just the beginning.
With love from Mantana,
Jake.
